Maybe break the portal and rebuild it? If the bug happened when it was created maybe creating a brand new one will correct the problem. I just tried that in several places just now. i tried going to a farther away from the original portal incase it might send me to a new spot in the nether but still it doesnt work :^/. r/Minecraft. The dimensions are right, I'm using a "blaze and steel" (not sure whether that makes the difference), I light it, the fire appears, but no portal is generated. Any and all advice on the internet points to the now defunct (or at the very least missing from this mod) Railcraft. The easiest way to access your Minecraft directory is opening the game, going to Resource Packs and pressing the 'Open Resource Pack Folder' button. Once it's inside the mods folder, run Minecraft with the Forge preset selected. The mod will be installed and can be played with in-game. Immersive Portals starts by allowing you to see straight That is correct. There was an update about a year ago that effected the fire spread mechanic over ticking observers to where they would not light portals built along the X axis (East/West). Portals need to be built along the Z axis (North/South), Z-pigmen will spawn on the East side. I am in the nether. Portals are lit and are not near each other. We just added a new portal that allowed me into the nether, but now none of them will allow me back to the overworld. I have tried 3 different portals and none of them work. I have logged out and logged back in. We only have 4-5 portals in the nether that are quite spread out. This is not a glitch, it is by design. Every time you enter a portal, Minecraft will search for a corresponding portal in the other dimension. It starts this search at an exact point based on the calculation below, and works outwards. If it finds an active portal within about 128 blocks, then it will send you there. I want a new portal so I can have a better chance at finding a nether fortress. Therefore I made my new portal at X: 447, Y: 68, Z: 900. This obviously is more than the 128 blocks rule, but it still didn't work. I went through the portal, which sent me to the same nether portal that was created from the original overworld portal I made. It's because of the 8:1 block ratio between the Nether and the Overworld. It's really weird though that you enter a portal in the overworld, and then when going back through where you came, come out of a different portal in the overworld. This mod fixes that issue. It keeps track of what portals a player went through in order to ensure correct For every block in the nether, you go 8 in the overworld, and portals follow this too. Say the fortress is 100 blocks away from your home nether portal (in the nether), and you make a portal there. When you go through it, you will be 800 blocks away from your house in the overworld. fqa8dRt.
